PETA vs. Westminster Dog Show

Now I’m all for treating puppies and kittens with all the love and care in the world…but (sorry if I offend anyone while saying) that PETA is a little bit extreme….dressing in KKK robes to compare the ideologies of the KKK with the American Kennel Club? The group definitely got some attention for this stunt outside the Westminster Dog Show at Madison Square Garden. I’ve witnessed them douse red paint on people for wearing fur coats…but really? KKK robes? I was really at a loss for words while reading about this protest. I’m also surprised that they made it through the protest alive and unscathed.
PETA also decided to put on an interesting show in front of the Giorgio Armani boutique connected to the Park Hyatt Regency today…apparently they were a bit irked that the designer broke his pledge to be “fur free” when he started putting rabbit fur on skirts and other clothing items. I must say I was amused watching them dance around like cave men with signs saying “Only Cavepeople wear fur”. I would say that’s degrading “cave people” on their part.
